At Busy B Photography, we blend the art of photojournalism with the soul of the Outer Banks. Specializing in beach portraits and family photography, our approach is rooted in capturing genuine moments against the stunning backdrop of North Carolina’s coast.
Eden Saunders, the creative force behind Busy B Photography, discovered her love for storytelling while studying journalism at East Carolina University. Her artistic journey later took her to New York City, where she refined her journalistic eye into a distinctive photographic style. After returning to her coastal roots, Eden built a business centered on meaningful imagery, authentic connection, and a deep appreciation for the place she calls home.
Having grown up along the North Carolina coast, Eden brings a lifelong connection to the Outer Banks into every session. When you choose Busy B Photography, you’re not just hiring a photographer…you’re choosing someone who knows and loves the heart of this region.
In addition to photographing life’s most meaningful moments, Eden also partners with businesses to create marketing content and brand photography that helps tell their story and build a strong, recognizable presence. Whether working with families or local brands, she is drawn to honest imagery, thoughtful detail, and the kind of storytelling that feels both natural and lasting.
Beyond the lens, Eden and her husband are living their farmhouse dream just 45 minutes from the Outer Banks. Her life is deeply rooted in family, faith, creativity, and the beauty of coastal country living. When she’s not behind the camera, she enjoys spending time with her family, caring for life at home, and horseback riding along both the farm and the shoreline.

About the Session
Our sessions typically begin one hour before sunset—unless we decide otherwise. And if you're an early bird, an hour before sunrise makes for equally magical lighting. While you’re welcome to choose your own location, we also have a few favorite oceanside and soundside spots we’d be happy to recommend.
When it comes to attire, comfort is key! Confidence shines through in every photograph, so wear something you love. Adults generally look best in solid colors, while children can pull off any combination of colors or patterns. A good tip is to start with the kids—if one child wears a patterned outfit, pick a complementary color from that pattern for the rest of the family. You don’t have to match exactly; the goal is to create a cohesive look that reflects your family’s style.
Feel free to bring along any meaningful props. For younger children, a favorite toy or even a sand bucket can help ease nerves and spark joy—after all, parents deserve a little alone time for a cozy couple shot too!
After our session, your images will be carefully processed and delivered within three weeks via an online album for easy digital download. All packages include a print release, so you’re free to create lasting memories in any format you choose.
